Thank you to all our families for coming along today and making it a very special day of celebrating and honouring our grandparents. 

Being Safe in My Place - Bicycle Education Centre Excursion

We had so much fun at the Bicycle Education Centre yesterday. The children learnt about helmet safety, pedestrian and road safety and how to pedal and ride a bike. 

One really important thing we all learnt yesterday was that your child's helmet must fit correctly and it must have this label to be effective (some labels may vary, but it must have a safety standard label inside). It is not illegal to sell helmets in Australia without this, so it YOUR job to ensure it is the right kind of helmet. 

Always make sure your child wears a helmet with two finger spaces between their eyes and the helmet; the straps making a v-shape over their ears; no hats or bulky hair clips and pony tails. underneath
